What is MoofMate?

MoofMate is an iOS app designed to enhance your VanMoof bike experience. It allows you to customize various settings on your bike that aren't available in the official app, including speed limits, sound customization, and ride tracking.

Does MoofMate support the S6 and S6 Open?

Yes, MoofMate supports the S6 and S6 Open models. However, due to hardware limitations, some features like Speed++ and increasing the maximum speed limit are not available for these models. You can still use MoofMate to change the default settings and track your rides on the S6 and S6 Open.

What is Speed++ and how does it work?

Speed++ is a feature that allows any S3 model to increase its top speed up to 37 km/h. This is done by changing the wheel size of the motor which results in a higher top speed. The speed shown on the display will be incorrect after changing the wheel size, but the speed in the MoofMate app will work. To use speed++ enable the 32 km/h speed limit and then enable speed++.

What is Boost++ and how does it work?

Boost++ will increase the speed limit to the highest speed limit available while holding the boost button. This can help you quickly accelerate when needed.

Is MoofMate compatible with all VanMoof models?

MoofMate is compatible with VanMoof S3, X3, and newer models. Some other models may also work, but we cannot guarantee it. Some features like custom sounds are only available for S3 & X3 models. Check the app for specific feature compatibility with your bike model.

How do I adjust the speed limit on my bike?

Once you've connected MoofMate to your bike, you can use the Speed++ feature to adjust your top speed limit up to 37 km/h (depending on your bike model). This can be easily adjusted through the app's intuitive interface.

Can I upload my own custom sounds?

Yes, MoofMate allows you to replace any existing sound on your VanMoof bike with your own MP3 files. This feature is currently only available for S3 & X3 models. Simply select the sound you want to replace and upload your MP3 file through the app.

How does the ride recording feature work?

The ride recording feature allows you to track and store data from your rides, including distance, speed, duration, and other metrics. This data is displayed in a comprehensive overview within the app, allowing you to track your performance and improvements over time.

Is MoofMate available for Android?

Yes, We recently launched MoofMate for Android! You can download it from the Google Play Store.

Does using MoofMate void my VanMoof warranty?

MoofMate operates independently of the official VanMoof app and makes temporary adjustments to your bike's settings. However, modifying your bike's factory settings might potentially affect your warranty. Use the app at your own discretion and responsibility.
